The History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies department at Nazarbayev University, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, is pleased to announce two new faculty appointments.
John Williams, previously at Singapore Management University, is joining the department as a full professor. John works in epistemology and related areas and is a world-class expert on Moore’s paradox. During the Fall semester of 2018 he is teaching a class on Critical Thinking and one on Paradoxes.
Sydney Morrow is joining us as assistant professor. She has completed her doctorate in philosophy this year at the University of Hawaii, where she specialized in Asian and comparative philosophy. During the Fall semester of 2018 she is teaching a class on Ethics and one on Daoism.
