Nazarbayev University is a research institution in Astana, Kazakhstan; it is host to a small but growing and ambitious philosophical community. Our faculty members’ research strengths are currently clustered in philosophy of science, philosophy of language, ethics, epistemology, logic, and political philosophy.
We offer a growing number of philosophy courses, both in our research areas and beyond. We also organize the Remote Speaker Series, which brings world-class presentations on accessible philosophical topics to the NU community.
